Thermaltake ToughPower 750W Power Supply

Testing:

MSI 955X Platinum
Intel P4 3,8GHz
ATI Radeon X300
2GB OCZ DDR2
Maxtor 80GB HDD 7200 RPM

Idle voltages were taken idling in Windows and full loads was taken while running loops of Pcmark2005.

It’s time for the final test, the 12V rail, this usually switches under load quite a bit on most Power supplies, therefore this is very interesting to see how well this new 750W can perform.12V Testing:

This power supply is in the class with OCZ Modstream, both have extremely stable rails. We can see on the graph that the rail stayed rock stable even under load.

Conclusion:

This is a VERY nice power supply that Thermaltake has released. This performs as well as the OCZ Modstream actually does. It’s a high quality product that almost sums it all up, it’s extremely quiet and stable which to alot of people is very important. Overall the graphs show my final score for this product, we give this 5 out of 5 and our editors choice award for an extremely powerful PSU.

Pros:

+ Quiet
+ Powerful
+ Stable rails
+ Well packed

Cons:

– None this far

Red&Blackness gives it 5 out of 5 dots
