The mouse is equipped with a very comfortable scroll wheel that feels great right from the start, it is not stiff or hard to scroll. The button below the scroll wheel controls the LCD on the bottom of the mouse basically to change the Profile of the mouse.

This means you can save various settings in different profiles;  there are 5 profiles to save to so you can config to 5 different games which comes in handy when gaming. Both sides of the Xai also has two buttons which makes this mouse have a total of 8 buttons if needed but only 6 are easily accessable.

The little LCD display is mounted on the bottom of the mouse between the lower glide pads. It lights up in a blue color when the mouse is plugged in.

When it comes to size the Xai is around the same size as the Roccat Kova and the design is also similar since both mice are used for both left and right handed users.

I would say that the Roccat Kova is for people with smaller hands, the Steelseries Xai feels comfortable even with a bigger hand. First thing that happened when I installed the software and plugged the mouse in that it found a new firmware and installed it.

In the display you could see the progress of the firmware installation.

A last shot with the display in action, here as said you can see which profile is active and change it with a push of a button.
