The smaller USB connectors are plugged into the speakers while the 3,5mm is for the unit that will actually play the music. The normal USB connector is actually for charging the speakers. I love the fact that the cables are hooked up to each other since this makes it very easy to keep track of just one cable.

The speakers are the size of big eggs, especially when they are turned off. When on the top goes up about 1 cm which makes them a tad bigger but far from big.

Basiclly the spekaers are round cones with a wider bottom and thinner top. The bottom rim has a clear plastic ring around it that lits up when the speakers are charging or in use.

By pushing the top the speakers open up and activates, by pushing them down the speakers power off again.

When the speakers are on the LED rim on the bottom lights up with a blue LED. One can know that these speakers are charging when the rim flashes with a blue light.

When the speakers are powered they are about 6,5cm high which shows how small they really are, as I said earlier they are the size of a big egg or a tad bigger.

Testing:

The speakers sound suprisingly well for being so small… ok they don’t have enough bass for my taste but the sound is clear and you can hear it all around them since they are round (omni directional). They make a good addition to most laptops or cellphones on the market by boosting the sound. The speakers don’t sound as bulky as other small mobile speakers, the sound is way clearer and the speakers can take a higher volume  while maintaining a comfortable sound quality.

Conclusion:

You can pick them up from Newegg for about 50$ which is a reasonable price for mobile speakers of this quality. As I said earlier I have tested this kit with a iPad, iPhone, and a laptop and it really sounds good even at higher volume. The sound is clear and might lack a tad of bass for my taste but some might find it more than enough. I wish they would have included a longer cable, well not necessarily just a cable, it could be a retractable cable to save space but also allow people to place the speakers further away.

Overall a nice little speaker kit with a lot of potential.

Pros:
+
Clear sound
+ Small
+ Very nice looking
+ Charges through USB

Cons:
Lack of bass
– Longer cord / retractable cable
