Razer DeathAdder Mouse

Introduction

While there are alot of good mice on the market, they can still be improved upon. Razer has been making gamer mice since I started with computers and that is some time ago, and they have still been able to stay on the market due to their high quality gaming mice. We got a sample of their DeathAdder mouse for testing tonight, it has some improved specs compared to the older mice they have released and a more sensitive laser so it’s going to be interesting to see how well this compares to the older mice.

The product comes packed in a small black box with a picture of the mouse, if you open the top lid you will be able to see the mouse and feel it. This so you know if it will fit your hand good. On the back of the box you can read about the mouse, like features and specifications.

Inside the box you will find a small manual, cd with software, quick start guide and some other less important papers. The mouse is completely black, the sides are glossy and the main part of the mouse is matte.

Razer has mounted buttons on the left side of the mouse for your thumb, you can set these to do pretty much any action you want on them. They are very well placed for even smaller hands and the buttons are very comfortable to use. The scroll wheel is made out of rubber so it’s soft and very easy to roll.

If we look at the size we can clearly see that it’s around the same size as my now old Logitech G7 Wireless mouse, they both fit perfect in my hand though but I prefer the Razer mouse due to the light weight and smooth movement across my Qpad mousepad.

The scroll wheel lights up in a nice blue color and so does the logo in the middle of the mouse. The logo actually lights of and the fades down again. Then it repeats itself which is a cool feature.
