Func Surface 1030 XL mousepad

Func was a big company back in the day when the mousepad starting meaning something in the gaming world. In early 2000 the Ratpad, Icemat and Func were the leading mousepads on the market but suddenly Funs dissapeard. Now they are back! Well in a sense they are “back” -however they do not want to call it a “comeback” because  they have been around all this time.

Today we are going to test the new Func Surface 1030 XL mousepad. This is a hard mousepad and not many manufacturers still make plastic pads so I am very curious to see what they have been able to come up with.

The Product:

Func Surface 1030 XL mousepad box

The mousepad comes packed in this nice little box that is wrapped in plastic, not much to see yet but the inside is padded as we can see in the next image.

As I mentioned the inside is padded and it keeps the mousepad in place. There is a feeling of  luxury with the packaging they have decided to use for the mousepad, it reminds me of the iPhone box with the high quality padding.

How easily does it, in case you spill Coke etc onto it?

  2. Those who are looking for a comfortable mousepad, this is one good one. However, due to some circumstances which I haven’t found out yet, I realize my high-end LASER mouses cannot smoothly track movement on this pad. The cursor will, once in a while, shake/go off the intended direction. I do not know if my mouse is too sensitive or the pad doesn’t allow for efficient tracking, but I’m totally fine with lower-end OPTICAL mouses on this mousepad.
