More of closer look and installation
3.5" hard disks slots are in the front of the case. You can easily access the hard disks as they are installed so you can just put them in from the side of the case. HAF922 has space for five hard disks and uses easy use screwless hard disks caddys.
HAF922 has thumbscrews for expansion slots to ease the change and installation of addon cards. It is something I'd like to see in more cases as you don't always have a screwdriver to work with. Installation:
Installation of the HAF922 was fairly easy. As said above, HAF922 has many features to ease the installation and for once I can say that the change of the case was a pure pleasure. Everything fitted in perfectly and the case had enough space for even the largest and heaviest CPU coolers I had available. I installed two different setups to the case to see if full sized ATX motherboard fitted in and to see if HAF922 had mounting holes for a smaller micro-ATX motherboard. Both went in smoothly without problems. Instalation of 5.25" devices was easy as was installation of hard disks too. Other manufacturers should take HAF922 as an example how to do easy to install case. Conclusion: The look of Coolermaster HAF922 might not please everyone, for me example, but it definitely has something most cases do not. It is large enough for even the highest end users, has 2x200mm fans to provide enough cooling for hard disks and motherboard and even a switch to turn of the LED-lights in the case. However the case suffered from nasty resonance issue. Even though hard disks were installed using rubber as shock protection, the case made some nasty resonance sound which I couldn't eliminate. If the resonance might be something you could live with and you like the outfit of the case, I see no point why not go and buy HAF922. Pros: Cons:
