Closer look at the Storm Scout
If we look at the front of case we can see that they have mounted various plugins, we have a power button, E-SATA, Sound, four USB connectors and a button which controls the leds on the case. This means you can turn the leds off if you are annoyed with it. The side is equipped with a plexi window that has ventilation holes in it.
The back is equipped with a 120 mm fan to exhaust the hot air from the cpu and from the PSU that is mounted on the bottom of the case. At a first glance the case looks quite big inside so lets have a closer look.
To mount drives in this case you need to mount some rails onto the harddrives. These can be found in a small box that should be inside the case when you open it up. For SSD drives you will need a scredriver so you can mount the rails onto the drive, but for 3.5 drives no tools are needed. Same thing goes for the 5.25 drives, no tools are needed. The corners of this case are rounded to prevent injury when you mount all your parts.
The motherboard tray is not removable on this case, they have made it easier to mount the motherboard though. The box in the middle says which letters are for a ATX or a mATX board. This means you can just put in the stands on the correct letters and mount the board. The 120 mm fan in the back is a led fan but the leds dont heat up the case at all even after hours of action.
