When QPad was a young company I reviewed one of their mousepads. Qpad XXXL gamerpad to be more exact and it ended up being the best mousepad that year. I still personally use it and even have one spare one with a R&B Logo that we got as a gift. Well enough about the past to be honest! Qpad is back with a new pad named EC-R and it's a hard surface pad but it seems to have the great qualitys the older XXXL gamerpad had. We are going to see how well this does as we know hard surface pads are usually loud or offer bad accuracy so stay tuned for todays review.

In terms of performance, the rugged, medium rough surface strikes the ideal balance between glide and friction. The backsides bubble-surface ensures mousepad stability, even in the heat of the game.

Qpad sponsors alot of big FPS gamer clans around the world and we got some of their promotional stuff that the gamers do use. We got some mouse Glidz, sweatband for your wrist, and a keychain to hang around your neck with the Qpad print.
The mousepad comes in a metal box with padding indside to protect it, not so necessary maybe but it gives the pad and its makers a special look.

I said before the pad lays in padding inside the metal box, and on the left picture you can see how well packed it is, it actually has a layer of padding on top of the pad also when it comes. Inside you will find the mousepad, mouse skatez, and some stickers for your case with a Qpad add on it.

The pad itself is quite big, but not to big at all as the older XXXL pad was. The mousepad is made of some type of plastic, it's light weight and very bendable. My first impression of the pad is that it's like any other one out there on the market. It feels and looks the same but I guess the only way to find out is to test it for awhile.
In the corner they have printed a Qpad logo, it's not in the way at all and it does not bother me in the least. On the top you can also see what type of pad it is.

Now the backside is very interesting, this is the first time I see a bubble surface on a mousepad. I was not sure about how well this would hold the mousepad in place, but I was eager to try it out. My first impressions and testing was a joy, I am NOT able to move the pad even if I try to push with two hands. It sticks to my type of computer desk like glue. The backside feels a bit sticky to be honest and that is what makes a great job in keeping this in place.
The right picture shows the size, this is my Logitech G7 mouse on the mousepad and as we know the G7 is a big mouse and we still have plenty of room on both sides of the pad so I beleive it will work excellent for gamers.
Testing:
The first thing I had to do when I started testing this pad was lowering the sensitivity on my mouse. The mousepad makes the mouse very sensitive which is extremely nice for gamers. It is very comfortable to use this pad, it does not make much noise and you barely have to touch the mouse to be able to move it around. The pad stays in place extremely well due to the bubble bottom design. It will probably take you an hour to set your mouse up again and start gaming but when it's done you have pure joy to play on for hours and hours without the noise normal hard surface pads make and without the dirt cloth pads have.
Conclusion:
This is an extremely nice mousepad that will be good for both normal users and also gamers, with this pad you get really nice accuracy due to the good surface and also due to the fact the bubble design on the bottom keeps the pad in place. The size is quite comfortable, it will fit most tables or computer desks and it's still able to provide a big surface to use. I have not changed mousepad in about 3 years but I guess this might be the one that I will change to.
Pros:
+ Good size
+ Does not move
+ Perfect gaming surface
+ Well packed
