First thoughts

Looking for an edge when it comes to PC gaming? Well, Xoxide, provider of a wide range of computer accessories, sent us one of the latest gaming keyboard, the Razer Arctosa. Razer is a well-known gaming product manufacturer that has produced many well-known gaming products such as the Razer Diamondback and Viper mice. Will this new keyboard bring similar performance to both gaming and everyday applications? That is what we’re here to find out.

The Razer Arctosa gaming keyboard arrived in a nicely decorated package with a picture of the keyboard on the front and a list of features on the back. Along with the keyboard itself, the package comes with some software used to operate the keyboard.

Taking a closer look at the keyboard, the first thing I noticed was the nice matte black finish of the keyboard. The keyboard has a nice, solid weight to it and is slightly longer than a standard keyboard by a couple of inches (similar size to my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard).

The standard key section has all the keys normally seen on a keyboard. The layout is actually surprisingly similar to a standard keyboard; most gaming keyboard tweak their layout a bit for gaming, which makes them harder to use for everyday tasks. You’ll notice that the keys are all-black, adding to the stylish look of the keyboard. The keyboard has a nice slim profile that is very responsive.
