Testing the Patriot Xporter
The flash stick is a bit thicker than the DDR3 memory stick but not much thicker. So far we have seen that the drive is not terribly big and it also looks quite cool. It's time to get on with testing so lets have a look at our test results. Testing: Looking at the results we can see that the bigger the files get the faster this drive gets which is good for this big drive. Winrar: We compared the drive vs the Corsair Flash Voyager, our test file was a 685Mb file which we transfered from the computer to the flash drive. Both drives were the same speed and ended up transfering the file in 50 seconds. Conclusion: I have to say this is a really awesome memory stick, it might be a tad slower than the others with small files but it gets faster the bigger the transfers get. It proved to be as fast as the Corsair Voyager Flash which has always been a top of the line flash drive. It looks quite cool and is very slim also so you will be able to have it in your pocket without being bothered it's there. 64Gb will also work as a backup drive in my eyes, and I believe that the flash drives and SSD harddrives are slowly taking over the market and maybe finally we can leave at least the IDE standard behind us. Pros: + Good looking Cons: - Price
