Installation and Final Thoughts

Building a computer inside the Element case was a straightforward experience with little issues overall. I especially like how the hard drives are easily mounted into the case. First, install four mounting screws to the 3.5” hard drive. Then, simply light up those screws into their slots and push them into place. The hard drives are mounted securely and can be easily removed.

Many of the panels and hard drive bays are removable with thumb screws, making the build experience a smoother process. After installing all the components, there is still ample room for expansion.

Turning on the computer, we find a nice colorful red LED on the top fan but surprisingly no LEDs on the front (the blue glow is from my CPU cooler). Despite the large number of fans, the noise on the case was on-par with some of the more quiet cases, thanks in part to the large size of the fans.

Conclusion
Overall, the Thermaltake Element Series Computer Case is a solidly designed mid-sized case that is packed with enthusiast features inside a clean-yet-stylish exterior. The case is packed with unique features, once again highlighting Thermaltake’s attention to detail and understanding of builders’ needs. While the price is somewhat steep at $150 USD, if you are looking for a high quality case that should last multiple builds, consider adding this case to your shopping list.

Pros:
+ Nice looking exterior with clean lines
+ Easy installation of components
+ Unique interior features that add versatility
+ 2.5” hard drive mounting features
+ Large fans (especially the 230mm on the top) provide good ventillation

Cons:
- Only three 5.25” drive bays
- Side fan is optional
