First look at the Phenom 2 940Today we are taking a look at AMD´s latest processor, the Phenom 2 940 Quad core Cpu. How will this unit perform vs the high performing Intel processors on the market and how will it perform vs the older Phenom? Let´s take a look. Not much to say about the processor, it looks like all the others so lets get on to the testing part of the review. Testing: Sisoft Sandra 2009, Cpu Arithmetic: I decided to include AMD´s 9850BE processor and Intel´s Core i7 965 Extreme processor to compare vs. I know the Intel processor is a bit more hardcore but it still works as a great processor to compare against when it comes to performance and cost. In this test we can see that the new Phenom 2 beats the older Quad core processor from AMD with quite a bit of points. Lets go on to the Multimedia test in Sisoft Sandra.
