JacolTech Mirror fan grills

Posted on: 3/28/2008 12:00:00 AM
Fan grills are an important part in the modding business because they make your case look special. For awhile there have not been any new fan grills out there the biohazard etc have been selling but nothing new has come out in the meanwhile. Today we are having a look at some mirrored fan grills. These look really sweet and are pretty cheap to. JacolTech was kind enough to send me 4 different mirror fan grills to review.

Lamps Electronics Cold cathode fan grill

Posted on: 3/26/2008 12:00:00 AM

Lamps Electronics were kind enough to send me a kit with the fan grill and a inverter for a review. We are going to see how well made it is, how bright it really can be, and also check how good it looks :)

Jimmsfangrills

Posted on: 3/26/2008 12:00:00 AM
Well tonite we are going to look at some Lasecut fangrill that fit on 80mm fans. Fan grills are a nice addition to your already modded case. Some of them might be pretty pricey and really bad made so we are going to look at the price and how these are made.

SVC laser cut fan grills

Posted on: 3/26/2008 12:00:00 AM
A large majority of people today like to modify their case so that is it original, so it stands out. They do this by modifying their cases using a bunch of different things. Nobody likes those standard wire grills, so we decide to buy laser cut fan grills, but which are the best? Today we will be looking at three custom fan grills provided by SVC; they are the Chiroptor, Lion King, and Dragon fan grills. Lets see what theyre like!

Xoxide Spider fan grill

Posted on: 3/26/2008 12:00:00 AM

Well everyone knows about Bitspower right? If not keep reading :) They sent me 3 CCFL to look at one three colored, one UV and one blue one. That are the ones I will look at this evening. There is alot of these CCFLs out there but Bitspower has always done quality stuff... So will these CCFLs be better than the others out there? Especially the blue ones are never really blue but will this be?

Well it's finally time to review some cold cathodes from Lamps Electronics. These seem to be really high quality and shine nice and bright and actually be the color they say it is.... Well I will not say much more but get this review going!

Sunbeam overclock cooler kit

Posted on: 3/24/2008 12:00:00 AM
Overclocker cooling kit? Well this kit is supposed to be a product that enables you to get better air cooling in your computer. It's a straight pipe that goes from your front intake fan straight to your cpu so the plan is that it should provide with fresh air all the time. We are going to see if we get lower temperatures with this product.

Sunbeam CCFL fan grill

Posted on: 3/24/2008 12:00:00 AM
The fan grill arrive excellently packed and in a plastic bubble packet, the colour of the grill is marked on the back, also stating that the grill has not one but 2 cold cathodes inserted in its plastic exterior, these can be seen clearly, when not connected to the power they are a bright white, the cables from the cold cathodes are separate meaning 4 wires trail from the grill, at about 20cm each. The mounting holes for the grill are raised up roughly half a centimetre. The centre of the grill is also indented, which gives it a unique look, along with its spiral design it almost looks like an alloy wheel (or have I been playing too much NFS-U?).

Sunbeam Skull fan grill

Posted on: 3/24/2008 12:00:00 AM
Another review from Murdoc and today he is having a close look at the skull fan grill from Sunbeam that was provided to us by Jab-Tech.

Posted on: 3/24/2008 12:00:00 AM
When you think of the word modding, one brand probably pops into your mind right away and that's Sunbeam! Today we are having a look at their CCFL fans. They seem to be high quality and you can probably use these as case fans and various other things to light and cool off your case a little :) I recieved a few different colored ones so stay tuned and check out this review.

Sunbeam Cold cathode bubble light

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
Everyone is probably getting bored with the cold cathode reviews out there. Sunbeam sent me this interesting products that is called the bubble light. It's basically a cold cathode with bubbles in it. The bubbles give the light a nice effect and it looks really cool. Stay tuned as we have a closer look on this modding product.

Sunbeam Counter strike fan grill provided by Xpcases.com

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
I have looked at these fan grills for some time with interest, it goes against convention to have them made out of plastic but we have plastic cases now and they look great. A fan grill for some time had only one function to guard various objects from the fan, I have heard stories of stitches needed after a run in with a 120mm delta, and I have been known to get on the painful side of a fan, but when laser cut fans came along this changed, they also looked great. It wasnt long I until the latest incarnation of the humble fan grill came along in the form of clear plastic, Im unsure on the type of plastic but I would guess its acrylic.

pcToys Cold Cathodes

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
In todays modding world, anyone who is a modder has a cold cathode kit in their case. There is always controversy about which company makes the best, highest quality, and brightest lights. Today we will check out a pair of UV cathodes from PcToys.

Sunbeam Liquid Neon Tube

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
Today Im going to be reviewing the Liquid Neon by sunbeam. The neon comes in an excellent box to keep it from being damaged. The side of the package gives the details of the neon, the one I will be looking at is the blue spiral pattern neon. The plastic box opens at the top and the contents slide out in one go. A single plastic tie secures the wires and inverter to the neon, this can be slid off without effort.

Xpcases Uv Ide cable

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
Rounded cables you gotta love em. The increase the airflow and look damn cool. When I got this round IDE cable I had no idea that it was ultra violet (UV) reactive, but discovered its nature when the Bigman himself told me. UV cables appear to glow when placed under an ultra violet light source, a high quality UV light will emit little visible light, thus the cable will appear to glow. I didnt recognise that the cable was UV reactive as the clear flexible plastic covering the cable is very clear. Which gives a nice effect when the computer is turned on. The little wires in the cable are multi coloured except for ever other wire which is white, this wire is a ground wire to reduce interference.

Sunbeam Thumbscrews

Posted on: 3/23/2008 12:00:00 AM
Thumbscrews are usually included with cases these days but some manufacturers have started to make shaped thumbscrews to give your case a more special look. We have three different thumbscrews from Sunbeam which have three different motives that we will give you a short review on today.

Sunbeam Minibaybus

Posted on: 1/28/2008 12:00:00 AM
Have you ever thought of getting rid of a bunch of extender cables etc out of your case? Well this product might help you with it! We got a Minibaybus from Sunbeam for testing and you just plug in your molex connector and power this up and it gives you four connectors you can connect fans etc to and get rid of a bunch of cables or just get more connectors in your case.

Geargrip LCD harness

Posted on: 10/21/2003 12:00:00 AM
Geargrip is a pretty big company that is working behind the scenes since they don't make hardware or modd products. They make carry bags for screen and computers. They sent me a sample of their LCD harness which is a carry "bag" for your LCD screen. This seems to be a nice high quality product that you can use when you want to move your TFT screen to LANS or when you are moving etc etc so stay tuned as we have a closer look.
