The GMC R-4 Bulldozer Computer case arrived in a sturdy GMC-labeled box with nice pictures and descriptive text around the outside. The case itself could be found nestled inside, surrounded by air-filled cushions. The case arrived from its long trip intact and undamaged.
Note that the Bulldozer is a member of the R series of GMC cases that offer unique “design revolution” cases.

Removing the case from the packaging, I first noticed the case’s weight; despite being a ATX case, this is a very small and lightweight case. As you can see, the case has a very unique design in the front, especially where the drive bay is located.

Looking closer at the front of the case, we find very mechnical-looking front with a number of design features that give it a futuristic look. The top part of the front is actually the housing for a 5.25” DVD/CD drive. Below that, you find a 92mm fan, power/reset buttons, a temperature display, and a panel with 2 USB ports and a headphone/microphone jack. I was a little disappointed that there isn’t a eSATA or Firewire ports on the front.

Turning the case to the side, we find a well-ventilated panel on the non-motherboard side that protrudes slightly. The side also has an 80mm case fan, another temperature display, and a fan speed controller. The other side panel has a simple design with only a small grill for added ventilation.
