First Toughts Noctua NH-U12P SE1366

We have earlier reviewed several Noctua coolers and they have all been top of the line with very low noise. Now that Intel has released their Core i7 cpu´s we got a sample of a cpu cooler that will work with the new socket also so lets see what type of results we can expect.

This product comes packed as the earlier versions for the other sockets. The box protects it well during shipping and the main colors as you see are brown and black wth blue. On the back you can read about the features and specifications.

Inside the box you will find a small sack with various mounting clips and screws. With this cooler you get two 120 mm fans that are mounted on each side of the cooler. This way one will blow in cool air on the heatsink while the other exhausts the hot air.

The heatsink looks the same as the previous one, and both fans are identical to each other. Noctua fans can be lowered to be almost silent with their included voltage regulators that are connected between the motherboard connector and the fan itself.

The heatsink is very high quality, the fins are perfectly aligned from each other and the heatpipes that go from the core itself will remove the heat from the core part and into the heatsink instead.
