Testing and Conclusion
Removing couple of thumb screws and opening the case shows us the insides of the case. There is a space for one hard drive and one CD/DVD-drive. There is also slot for motherboard and power supply. Everything should fit inside nice and easily.
Testing the Mini-ITX Acrylic Case:
In our tests we put the classic mini-itx sized Via Epia motherboard in the case. We found no problems fitting the needed parts in the case. Installing the motherboard was easy after removing about ten thumb screws. You need a screw driver in order to bolt the motherboard in the case and to bolt the CD/DVD-drive and hard drive in it. Those are not connected with thumb screws which we find quite odd when the case itself is full of those.
In our tests it was found out that the fans in front of the case could be more silent as well as the fan in power supply. Usually there are no fans in mini-itx based computers and even the power supply can be external in most cases.
Conclusion:
With Sunbeamtech mini-itx case we found contradictory feelings. Without a doubt the case looks wonderful if you attach some UV- and LED-lights in it, but the noise the fans make makes the use of the computer uncomfortable. The sound is not that bad if you lower the voltage of those fans, but Sunbeam does not offer us any tools in order to do that. I could recommend this case to everyone who likes to have cool looking mini-sized computer and the noise isn't a problem for them.
Pros:
+ Looks great
+ Easy installation
+ Enough connectors in power supply
Cons:
- Fans
