The NZXT Whisper computer case arrived in a colorful black box with nice photos of the case on the outside and a list of specifications. One thing to note is that this case is a full-sized tower, as opposed to your more standard mid-sized tower. This allows for additional drive bays and accommodation for larger motherboards. However, this makes for a pretty heavy case, weighing in at 12kgs empty.

Opening the package, we find the case secured snuggly by a couple of custom styrofoam inserts. Removing the contents from the box, we find the case bagged to protect it from scratches. The case itself has a matte black exterior with a clean, understated appearance on the outside. There is a large grill (partially covered by a triangular metal piece in the middle), but there is no side ventilation (probably to reduce the noise).

The front door of the case opens to reveal six 5.25” drive bays, one 3.5” drive bay, and still have room for a 120mm fan. The power and reset button are also located at the top of the case. The door has nice action to it and the magnetic door latch works well.
