The smallest ear cushion allows you to fold the headphones so they smaller when you want them in your pocket or bag. You can do this with the bigger ones also but they don't fold as good as with the small ear cushions.
The right picture shows once more the smallest cushins and below you will be able to see the medium sized and even bigger sized ones.

The headphones feel comfortable with all types of cushions but I prefer the medium sized as they don't feel to bulky and does not have a negative impact on the sound quality.
Sound Quality:
We listened to all types of music genres, and used them for gaming and movies to get an idea of what type of sound quality the headphones offer. To say the least we are quite happy with the results!
The sound is very nice and clear with a perfect balanced bass that gives you a really nice listening experience. The highs and lows are good for the priceclass that these headphones come in and they even work when you workout or exersice as long as it does not include running. The big ear cushions kind of kill the sound so to speak, I personally prefer the mid sized ones or the small ones as they let the sound through in a different way and let you hear that nice balance of bass.
Conclusion:
I think this set retails for around 130$ that I have seen in the states. It's not a bad price for light weight headphones that bring you superb sound quality. They are very comfortable to use and with three different sized ear cushions we can clearly see that Jays focus on making headphones/earphones that are comfortable to use. I found them to be a very nice addition to the headphone market. There are not many headphones on the market that are this light weight and are still able to perform. 130$ won't break your wallet either, plus they are so light weight and foldable so you can bring them wherever you need them. I will for sure recommend these headphones for great sound and fit.
