Today we take a look at an interesting looking product from an exciting new company. Xigmatek seems to have been on the market since 2005 but it is the first time I see one of their products. We got a sample of the NPR-MC851 PSU which seems to have some very nice features as 4x 12V rails all the wya from 18 to 30 amps. You also have modular cables and a smart silent fan which should run this product fairly quiet.

Since this is a modular PSU you have alot of various cables to keep track of and they have included a small cable holder so you can keep track of the excess cables that you might not need. They also included a small sack to store the PSU in if you don't want to save the box.

The power cord and the mounting screws are store in a small box along with some zip ties so you can arrange the cables neat in your case.

A modular PSU is good in several ways, since you only have to plug in the cables you need. This means the case will be nice looking inside and it also increases the airflow in the case which helps the case stay stable. You get a couple PCI-E power cables and they are marked red so you wont get mixed up when you plug the cables in.

The unit itself has a nice black case and on one of the sides the specification sticker tells you what amps all the rails will give you.

This PSU has four 12V rails and they got from 18A to 30A which should be enough cover for your needs for quite sometime. To get the hot air out of the unit they have supplied it with a grill in the back so the fan can vent out the hot air that the components create.
