The GMC Noblesse AVC-S1 case arrived well-packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. The outside of the case has an understated yet elegant look to it, with a small picture of the case on the front and a small list of specifications.

Opening up the package, we find the case securely packaged between a custom foam insert and the case bagged in a plastic bag. Removing the contents from the package, we find the case by itself; the accessories nicely packaged in a separate box inside the case.

The first thing you can't help but notice is the small size of the case; it is almost as thin as a regular DVD player or TIVO. Our review case has a silver tone (it also comes in gold), with a matte color on most of the outside, except for a mirrored finish on the front panel. To the left of the front panel, there is a small power button, a large volume knob, and an IR sensor for the remote control (more on that in a bit). There is also a small 16x2 character VFD screen that displays text. Below the screen are other functional buttons like up/down/left/right and a MCE button.
