One of the sides have all the ports, you will for example find a power port, eSATA port and a USB port for the USB cable. They have also mounted the On/Off button on this side.

The fan is mounted beneath the harddrive but when you stand the enclosure up it will be on the side.

The stand will make is possible for the fan to actually get some cool air into the enclosure. Mounting the harddrive is quite easy, on each side it will have a black clip that you have to remove and mount on the harddrive. These clips are mounted with a screw so totally you have to remove 6 screws to be able to get the drive in.

Open up the enclosure and remove the clips, after that you just have to push the drive into place and fasten the clips with the screws so the drive does not move around when you move the enclosure.

Compared to normal IDE drives this enclosure does not stand a chance and that is the way it's supposed to be. We can see a steady performance though all through the graph.

Conclusion:
I have been feeling the enclosure all through testing and it has not gotten hot at all even during benchmarking. The enclosure feels like a high quality device and it also looks good. I have not mentioned anything about the noise level of the fan yet and I have to admit I am suprised how quiet it actually is.

I can hear it but it is far from loud. Installation was a piece of cake and overall I am very satisfied with it. It was well packed and I am still questining the button manager software that they include, as I fail to see the reason for it. Pricewise its a bit higher than other enclosures I have tested but if you want qualit you have to be ready to pay for it.

Pros:
+ High quality
+ Good looking
+ Well packed
+ Good performance

Cons:
- Price
