IntroductionAnother DDR3 kit hits our test bench and this time it is a kit from Patriot. We got their latest Viper kit that we will put vs some fast performers from both Corsair and Supertalent. We are going to twist and turn this ram kit to see how it performs in Superpi and Everest among other test programs. About Patriot: Features: The product:
The ram comes packed in a very nice plastic cover. The ram was very well protected during shipping, if you turn the package around you can have a closer look at the ram sticks. The ram sticks are very well equipped with big steel colored heatsinks. These should be enough to maintain the heat the sticks put out but will they be enugh when we overclocked the ram?
The left picture is similar to the one above but I just want to show you that on each stick there is a sticker that tells you what memory sticks they are and what specifications they have. Otherwise we can see that the heatsinks got a big Patriot logo on them which gives them a more luxurious look.
We used the following software to benchmark the kit, Everest Ultimate Edition, Sisoft Sandra XI, SuperPi and Pcmark Vantage.
