We are taking a look at an external HDD from Verbatim today, they sent us a sample of their latest 500GB HDD that is equipped with a display on the front of the eclosure to show how much space is left on the HDD. Lets see how it will perform vs other removable drives.

The product comes packed in a black box with a big picture of the unit itself and also a bigger picture of the display. On the back of the box you can read about the various features and specifications.

Inside the box you will find a bag in which you can store the unit, manuals, and a USB cable to hook it up to the computer with. The enclosure has a glossy black color which matches very well with the blue display on the front.
