The GlacialTech Igloo 5750 Silent CPU cooler came in colorful package the cooler prominently displayed on the front. The back of the package has a list of the features and specifications of the cooler.It�s nice that the cooler is compatible with all the latest Intel and AMD processors.As an aside, I was impressed that the GlacialTech website actually has maximum suggest clock speeds for each type of processor; that type of information is rarely published but good to know.
I also received a sample of the PWM (pulse width modulated) model of this same series, which will be subject of a future review.

Once opened, the box reveals the CPU cooler nicely nestled between a custom plastic insert.Along with the cooler itself, the package comes with 4 AMD mounting brackets, some standoffs, and an instruction manual.The cooler comes with the Intel mounting bracket installed and also thermal compound applied to the cooler; I�m not a big fan of compound being pre-applied since you can�t control the amount or type, but for novice builders it can save an extra step.

Taking a closer look at the cooler, the first thing to notice obviously is that there are not one but two fans installed on this cooler.The fans are 90mm in size, which is smaller than the 120mm other cooler have.You might be concerned about the noise level, as smaller fans tend to be louder; you�ll have to read the rest of the review to find out.The cooler is horizontally oriented, so the cool air moves from above the CPU down towards the base/motherboard.
