The memory is equipped with small heatsinks to cool them of as the ram runs at 1500mhz. The heatsink is easy to remove, all you have to do is to remove about 8 screws on the back and the whole thing comes off.

Here we see the back of the card and there are no heatsinks since the memory is only on one side of the card. You can also see the eight screws I was talking about earlier. You have to consider that this card takes up two PCI slots so make sure there is some space for it. You get two DVI connectors with this card but you can of course run normal analog screens also with a VGA to DVI adapter.
Testing was done by running the following software, 3dmark2003, 3dmark2005, Farcry, Doom 3, Battlefield 2, Ut2004 and Call of Duty 2. Overclocking was done with the powerful Rivatuner software version v2.0 RC 15,8.
3dmark2003:
I will have an update on this review as soon as we get our 7800GTX card back from USA. In the meantime though you can see that this new card outperforms the other cards even though that the X850XTis a very good card that is still on the market. The X1600 card is the middle class card of the new series and we can see that for 400$ more you get a bit more speed.
