Introduction

Another new mp3 player on the market so I thought lets have a look at it and after a few mails we had this new Monolith MX-7010 mp3 player on our test bench. What is so different with this from the others? Well it's very light weight for one and it has a very special casing. Lets have a look at this new cool looking little mp3 player.

It's a very nice box the Monolith comes in. On the front we have a picture of the player and on the back we have specifications. Inside we had a smaller plastic box that held all the accessories and the manual. We can see the manual on the right which includes several languages and then we also have a cd with drivers and software like logo and lyrics editor.

Included with the player we have a small adapter if you don't want to use the USB cable which is included also. With this we can see that the player does not have a built in USB connector which you can just plug in. I forgot to mention the line in cable which is also included so you can record from a external unit. The usb jojo and the necklace are very nice accessories also- the necklace is actually leather.

A case which you can put on your belt or just have as a protective case is included. The player itself has an aluminum cover which gives it a very fancy look compared to other players that just has a plastic cover.

On the left we have one side of the player which holds most of the buttons as the menu, FF, REW, Play, etc etc. The play button is on the the same button as the fast forward and the rewind button and I find this kind of annoying as the play button is so small and it's hard to push down and hard to get to. You can see the big button in the middle and that's what I'm talking about. The back is also aluminum which looks very nice and it also has four small rubber feet on the back to protect the player when you put it down on the table for example.
