Closer look
This unit has only one 12V rail although this rail cranks up to 41A which should be more than enough for most setups right now.
The cable is sleeved in a black and white sleeve, kind of reminds me of a snake :). The back of the PSU has a ventilation grill so the PSU can ventilate out the air and remain stable.
Inside the unit there is a white 140 mm fan which is almost silent, this fan is around the same level as a Enermax PSU that we reviewed a month ago. Testing: Intel Core i7 920 Idle loads we taken while idling in Windows and full load was taken while looping Pcmark Vantage. Max watt usage was also taken after several loops of Pcmark Vantage. We are comparing this PSU vs the Enermax ECO80+ 620W SLI® PSU. 3.3V Rail:
We got rock stable 3.3V rails on both units, there was no flickering even during heavy load.
