With the large number of case manufacturers on the market, we here at Rbmods.com don�t get a chance to review every case on the market.But it�s still exciting when we get to evaluate a new company�s case, especially when they offer features that stand out amongst the crowd.Today we get to look at a case from Xoxide, a provider of a wide range of case and cooling accessories, called the X-Purity LCD Edition Case.Will this case turn out to be pure bliss or pure torture?We will find out in this review.

The Xoxide X-Purity LCD-Edition Case came in a plain-looking cardboard box with no pictures or anything other than the model number.Like many other cases, this case was secured by styrofoam inserts and inside a protective plastic bag.

Removing the case from the box, we find a mid-sized, black ATX tower with a nice smooth metallic finish.Some of the more notable features include a small LCD to monitor temperatures and nice clear acrylic windows on both the top and side of the computer, which allows you to show off your colorful LEDs and other interior build features.

Taking a closer look at the front of the computer, there are a total of four 5.25� drive bays and the two 3.5� drive bays, which should be more than adequate for most computer builds.Below the bays is the nicely-sized LCD screen, which as we�ll find out later provides temperature displays for up to 3 locations as well as indicators for HDD activity and a timer.The power buttons and a hidden panel containing two front USB ports, a 1394 port, and an headphone/mic port are also found on the front of the computer.

The front is also accented on the sides by two side bubble lights that extend from the top to the bottom of the case.Turning the case to its side, we get a better view of the large, clear window on the side.There is a 80mm fan mounted to the side of the case, along with vent holes located above the CPU and video card locations, which provide extra ventilation for the interior components.A similar fan is mounted on the top.
