What's Inside & A Closer Look
Inside the box, the user is presented with a pretty standard compliment to the case. Included in addition to the M59 is:
Just by looking at what's included with the case, one already has a hint into how easy NZXT makes it to build a computer into this case. Screwless drive rails make installing hard drives a breeze, and thumbscrews make quick installations of 5.25" drives. The included manual is thorough and covers how to install drives, how to use the features of the case, and how to clean fan filters. As you can see from the images above, this case is not your standard rectangular front. You probably already figured on this, since it is an NZXT case. The oddly angled front bezel bring some depth to the case so that it doesn't look like another cheapie. Also immediately noticeable are the two large fan mounting locations on the top towards the rear of the case. These locations can each be used to mount either a 140 mm fan, or a 120 mm fan. The side of the case also has a fan mounting location, but is 120 mm only. This one, NZXT filled with a very quiet 120mm blue LED fan rated at 23db/42CFM. There is a similar fan mounted in the rear of the case, but this one is LED-less. Rounding out the fan mounting locations is the front 120 mm mount, with no included fan. The side window is not your standard rectangular window with rounded edges. No, this is an NZXT case! Not is the window raised from the rest of the case, but also the envelope of the window is of an angular upward ascent towards the rear of the case. This nicely compliments the angles of the front of the case.
Taking a peak at the rear of the case shows another easy building feature: the bottom mounted power supply. This feature not only makes it easy to swap out motherboards without removing the power supply and keeping case size small, it also allows the power supply to remain cooler. NZXT went a step further here by including a fan vent underneither where the power supply would sit. This allows the power supply to inhale cool air and exhaust it out of the case, all without disturbing airflow within the case. Pretty slick. The M59 and also fit the largest power supplies available. The expansion slots are actually made into a mesh to allow ventallation. At the top of the rear, two hole with rubber grommets are installed to allow passage of water cooling lines.
