These pictures show how the microphone is able to be manipulated in one way. It is also able to be rotated up and down to adjust to the perfect location.

The 1/8" mini jacks are gold plated for optimal conductance. the seperation bands are colored green for the headphones and pink for the microphone. These may be hard to see in low light conditions such as lan parties.

Testing:

The Razer Carcharias headset were subject to a range of genras of music. From the deep bass in hip-hop to the mid range in classic rock, to the highs in techno, all sound stages were reproduced faithfully. There didn't seem to be any crosstalk betwen the left and right speakers meaning that the soundstage was setup very well.

In gaming, the Razer Carcharias aboslutely blew away the older Logitech set I used to compare to. Explosions sounded true to life and gun shots could be pin pointed even if they were outside the view of the monitor.

For microphone testing, I used Left 4 Dead cooperative mode. My teammates noted that there was very little background noise and that my voice came through very clear and was not muffled at all. Overall, sound from the microphone was very clear and exactly what was advertised on the box.

Conclusion:

Even after 8 hours of constant use, this headset was still comfortable. Since the large padded cans rest against the user's head rather than the ears, there is no sharp pain after wearing them for a couple hours like some other headsets.

The in line volume and microphone control is a very nice touch that really sets this headset up nicely for gamers. It would have been nice to see a headphone mute button, but the volume control suffices.

The price is right. For about $80, this is a very nice package that suites gamers very well, and should appease most any gamer, especially those who use a microphone during gaming.

Pros:
+ Very nice looking
+ High quality
+ Good sound quality
+ Long cable
+ Sleeved cable
+ Very comfortable for long periods

Cons:
- No blue LEDs like on the Piranha
