The fan will be installed at the back of the case, and used to exhaust hot air from the CPU.  Start by removing the previous fan if necessary.

Next, install the rubber vibration compensator in the case's screw holes.  The vibration compensators provide a barrier in between the fan and the case to prevent noise from vibrations.  Make sure they are firmly in place before coninuing.

Line up the fan's screw holes with the vibration compensators and pull the rubber tips to let the fan slide over.  This can be difficult if you are working in an enclosed space, so you might need to use tweezers.  I had to remove my power supply.  Once all four corners of the fan are attached to the case, all that is left to do is plug in the fan to the motherboard.  You can use the 3-pin fan to molex adapter if necessary.

Conlusion:

The NF-S12B is a well built, silent fan with the performance to back it up.  Even at close range, the NF-S12B is all but inaudable.  It pushes as much air as an Antec Tricool on high, but remains silent even at top speed.  Including the L.N.A. and U.L.N.A. is super redundant, because even at it's highest momentum the fan is perceptible only with your head inside the computer case.  Including the adaptors and the sleeving adds a nice extra touch that lets you know how much Noctua cares about it customers and is dedicated to silent computing, but at the advertised price of $25, it might be a little too much.  In all, this fan is a superb specimen and a testament to Noctua's reputation.

Pros:

+Well Built
+Good Performance
+Silent

Cons:

-Price

Meijer Says:
You forgot to include the essential part known as "testing"? At least I don't see any tests or numbers to back up the claims that this fan moves more air than an Antec TriCool at max while remaining silent enough to become unperceptible. I find that hard to believe without numbers on this moment... especially since other reviews tell me otherwise.
