You will also get a manual that will explain to you some pretty straight forward functions. The drive itself is excatly the size of the Gskill drive that we reviewed earlier and as we know a SSD drive is very small compared to a normal HDD. It's roughly half the width and length.

Looking at the drive we can see it has a black case with a big sticker on it. In the back of it you will find the SATA, power and a jumper slot where you will put the jumper when you want to update the firmware on the drive. The bottom of the drive has a steel plate therefore it has a aluminum color.

Testing:

We used the following setup for our tests:

AMD Phenom 2 955 CPU
Asus Crosshair 3 Motherboard
Patriot Viper PC3-14400 DDR3
Asus 9800GT Videocard
Coolermaster M700 PSU

Testing was done with Pcmark, Winrar and by Rebooting, Starting and Turning off the computer.

Pcmark Vantage:

Looking at the total score after the HDD test in Pcmark we can see that the Patriot is a alot faster drive. Lets go to the next page where we have split up the test results.
