ROG products are well known for their high quality in the past and this ROG product is hopefully no different.

Inside the box I found a couple of manuals, along with the headset that was packed in its own little storage bag.

On the cable Asus has mounted a remote control that both mutes the mic and controls the volume. If you don’t use the mic, or if you don’t want to have the mic hanging beside you, all you have to is unplug it since this mic is hooked up with a simple 3,5 mm connector- which is a awesome thing! Mics have bugged me for years and with this one you can simply remove it, and not have to fold it or slide it to the side.

the “game” setting is used when gaming on the xbox or ps3, and since on the consoles the headset is forced to use its built-in sound card, there is a faint hissing when using it, which is why i presume you said it was awful… when using on the pc just keep it on “pc” mode
