The soundtrack of this game is full of big names, including:

For the most part these songs weren’t to my taste but, when driving ridiculously fast through a canyon, Pendulum’s Slam is definitely a song that is welcome to listen to. It definitely helps to set the atmosphere and increase the interest of the game overall.
Other sound effects are solid and powerful sounding, with engines plodding along with a satisfying bass tone, and crashes sounding like… Well, crashes. I would have preferred to listen to the music that I have on my PS3’s hard-drive though.

Conclusion:
Overall, MotorStorm is a frankly excellent game that all PS3 owners should check out, even if racing games aren’t your thing. AI is solid and unpredictable (in a good way), gameplay treads the fine line between fun and competitive, and the graphics are impressive. However I am a little disappointed by finding out I couldn’t play it split-screen with my friends. It is simplistic, which is both a good thing and a bad thing, as it means that people like myself can pick it up and have a quick game of it every now and then, but serious players may find it a little too basic. Sure it’s flawed, but it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a video game for a long time. If you want a solid, fun racing game that will keep you hooked, look no further.

Cons:
- No offline multiplayer
- Perhaps a little too basic
- Single player a little shallow
- A little slow loading at times
