Mp3 players- what should you look for?

What more features should you look for then? Well I would definitely recommend for you to check the specifications for OGG support, it’s a file format that is smaller than mp3 but still gives excellent sound quality. By having this you might be able to convert mp3 songs and save a lot of space on your mp3 player.

Battery time is something that I feel is one of the most important things. Ipods are good mp3 players but their battery time in my eyes is horrible, I would look for a battery that can handle at least 20 hours of playtime which is crucial really. Rechargeable built in batteries or throw-away batteries?
Tip of the day!!
This is probably the hardest question to answer and I can only say that it’s a decision that everyone must make themselves. The good thing about a built in rechargeable battery is that it saves you time and you can charge it anywhere. These batteries last usually around 3-5 years and it’s so easy to be able to plug in the player in any USB port to charge it. On the other hand normal AA or AAA batteries are easy to switch and use if you don’t have a computer around but personally I think it cost quite a bit more to have throw-away ones and you don’t always carry batteries around. Well at least I don’t!

Most accessories that come with an mp3 player are pretty generic crap to be honest, the headphones break or deliver crappy sound quality and the case, and necklaces break after just a few months of use. This is something I have seen happen with a lot of brands so accessories are something I don’t even bother looking at really even though they are nice to have for the little while they work. A small and simple thing such as a clock on the mp3 player is also something you might consider making sure is available on your player since a lot of people want this, and find it to be a convenient addition. One last tip for you is to get a mp3 player which can play DRM protected songs, that is usually songs you pay for and download from online websites that sell songs, not having a player that can do this will prevent you from being able to use the songs.

In the end the choice is yours but I hope this article was able to help you a bit to figure out some of the potential problems and important features. And remember; don’t just buy the cheapest player because you usually get what you pay for.
