Cebit 2006 Coverage
Everyone that has some type of computer interest knows that Cebit is one of the worlds biggest exhibitions.
I had the pleasure to go down to Hannover Germany this year to take a part of this huge event. I had one day at the event which meant that I had to take care of about 28 halls, and after about 10 hours of walking and taking pictures this is what I came up with. I have taken loads of pictures for people that could not attend this event. In Cebit 2006 there is 6262 exhibitors which cover 310,412 square meters (preliminary figures).
About Cebit:

We got to the exhibition half an hour after opening and we decided to start with hall 20 where we knew alot of cool companies had the their booths.
During this event you will find alot of products you did not even know existed, there are mostly companies from Asia that might be unknown for alot of us but they also bring new products which we did not know anything about before. Even though alot of companies had booths they also had displays like on the right picture in other halls to really get people to look at their products.

Iaudio was there presenting their new mp3 players, but I found nothing that was to different from the other mp3 players on the market at the moment.
I stumbled over OCZ booth also where we meet Jessica that showed us their new and old products.

The first product OCZ presented for us was their new cpu cooler that will be on the market soon, they named it Tempest and it has a copper core and aluminum fins. It has four heatpipes mounted from the core to the heatsink part and it's supposed to be universal if I remember it all correct, so it should fit on all socket types. I found it quite heavy but I will wait for a sample before saying anything more because that can get me in trouble :) They also had a SLI system running the background to show of some OCZ products.

OCZ displayed all the ram very nicely behind a plexi wall with specifications and information about them. Something very exciting is their Cryo Z cooler that will be released on the market soon I hope, I was not able to get a date on the release but it's been said soon for awhile so I guess the time should come in the near future. This unit can cool your cpu to below freezing and therefore you can overclock the computer a bit more if desired.
