Zalman Trimon ZM-M220W Monitor Review
Zalman is mostly known from their high quality cooling solutions, but during the last months Zalman has expanded their product range to cover also other interesting products. New products are FG1000, their new mice, and couple of innovative monitors. It is true, that display markets are full of products, which differ only a little from each other. Zalmans monitors have some attributes which other manufacturers do not. Zalman provided us ZM-M220W 3d-monitor for test and now we will have a look at it.
ZM-M220W was provided for us via our Swedish contact PCB Distribution AB. Zalman ZM-M220W is 22" widescreen display with glossy surface. ZM-M220W is rather difficult to find in stores, but at least in Finland and Sweden it is sold in couple of stores with 575€ price tag in it.
About Zalman:

ZM-M220W is packed in stylish black packet. Zalman has printed all the necessery information to the packet, so potential buyers can find enough information without reading the manual inside the package.
Display itself is well packed inside the packet. Display is covered with foam, which will cover the display from shaking inside the packet.

Inside the packet you will find the display and accessories. You will find speaker cable, digital DVI-D cable, analog D-SUB cable, 2 pair of 3d glasses (from which one is attachable to your own glasses), driver and manual cd, power cable and manual. There's nothing suprising in accessories so let's move on.

Color of the display itself is black. I have to admit there's nothing suprising in the color, but ZM-M220W looks beautiful in this color. Base of the display is rather large which makes the display very firm. It will not swing even in heavy use. I know some players will smash their desktop when something does not go well in the game. :-) Backside of the display does not show anything new.

ZM-M220W has also a pivot function, which allows the display tobe turned round to use it as 10:16 display with resolution of 1050x1680. This is sometimes handy when working with large documents or with excel.
Display has also a possibility to adjust its height. You can adjust it about 12.5cm and in lowest position the display will be about 8cm from the surface of the desktop. In highest position the display is about 20cm from the surface. You can also turn the display about 30° vertically and 40° horizontally.
