Zalman Cnps9500 AT S755 Cpu cooler

In the past we have reviewed the CNPS9500 LED cpu cooler from Zalman that has superb performance. It had a universal clip so you could mount it on pratically all sockets. Zalman has now released a AT version if this cooler that is specially designed for socket 775 only. A quick look at the specifications show that the fan runs at a lower rpm and that is missing some accessories. We will test this cpu cooler vs the LED version to see if there is actually any difference on these.

About Zalman:

"We are thankful to those of you who have purchased our Noise Prevention products and computers, as well as to all of you who are visiting our website. If we fully utilize computers' many functions such as communications, office productivity, and multimedia, our life can become more comfortable and enriching. In order for this to be achieved, the computer must first become more user-friendly.

Despite the fact that computers have become commonplace at home and at workplaces for a long time, true user-friendliness of the computers is still a long shot. At Zalman Tech, we strive to make that goal a closer reality through extensive research and development of our products. We were the world's first in reducing computer noise down to lower than 20dB, thus creating a more user-friendly computing environment. Now it is possible to use a computer without distracting noise and to form high fidelity audio system or home theatre system without ambient noise. Zalman Tech will continue to make efforts at creating more enhanced levels of user-friendliness in computing; we believe that we have the ability and determination to achieve this goal. Your support and interest are greatly appreciated."

To make the packages different from one another Zalman has made this AT cooler box a bit greenish while the LED version has a blue package. Otherwise they have the same design with some features on the back and that you can see the cooler through the plastic.

All the necessary mounting parts are packed in a small box inside the package, you get a manual that explains the mounting procedure. The cooler itself has the same type of design as the older one except the fan is switched to a normal fan instead of a LED fan, I have also noticed the lack of a voltage controller which was included with the LED version.

The cpu cooler has a copper core that is mounted on the cpu, by having a copper core you maximize the heat transfer to the rest of the heatsink. There are three heatpipes on each side of the core that transfers the heat to the rest of the cpu cooler. The fins are in excellent shape on this unit.
