Vizo Sleet DDR cooler
Today I'll be taking a look at a two new DDR coolers from Vizo. The Sleet series cooler coming in both aluminum and copper are designed to help dissipate the heat from your RAM, improving performance and increasing over clocking ability. So let's find out what these coolers can actually do.

The packing is pretty much what I've come to expect from Vizo. You're able to see what you're getting, and on the back is plenty of information as well as the simple installation instructions.

Both coolers come with pre-applied thermal pads, as well as a non conductive spacing pad for sticks with the chips on one side.

Putting the coolers on the ram is extremely simple. If you're going to be using the spacing pad just stick it to one of the thermal pads before putting it on the ram. If not, simply take the protective film from the thermal pad put it on either side of your ram then slide the clips on. There's really no resistance, the clips didn't scratch the finish or anything. Total process took only a few minutes.

After the coolers are installed just put the ram in like like you would any other time. Without a proper temperature probe I was only able to test the surface temperature of the actual cooler and the chips before the coolers were installed. The surface temps on the coolers was about six degrees F less than on the actual chips, while both coolers averaged the same temp.
Conclusion:
Vizo has done a pretty good job with their Sleet DDR Coolers. While I wasn't able to do anything more as far as overclocking went with the coolers installed, they seemed to be cooling the RAM down some. I don't think it would have been possible to make the installation any easier so there's no complaints there. If anyone is looking into trying to drop the temps on their RAM a little bit, or just want a new look this is defiantly a product you should check into.
