Vizo MasterPanel
For review today is another product from Vizo, the Master Panel. What is a master panel you may ask, well it is a device that will allow you to quickly connect either an IDE or SATA drive to your PC without the need of an external enclosure or opening your case. While the concept seems nice, let's see how it does in testing.

Along with the master panel you receive the SATA cable, instructions, and screws needed for installation, as well as power cable for the IDE/SATA device.

On the front of the panel you can see slots for your IDE, SATA, e-SATA and power cables. There's also a power button to turn your device off and on along with an LED power indicator. Inside you see the three SATA connectors and a four pin floppy power connector.

There's nothing to the installation. Simply slide the Master Panel into any 5.25 bay, connect the SATA cable from the MP to the motherboard and a 4 pin power cable to the MP. Next just connect your device to the front of the MP, power on and you're ready to go. Transfer rates are the exact same as if the device were connected directly to your motherboard.
Conclusion:
The Master Panel really is a must have for anyone that is constantly plugging in new IDE/SATA devices because it eliminates the need to go inside your case every time, or having to mess with external enclosures. With transfer speeds unchanged and simple installation there really are no draw backs to the MP.
Pros:
+ Easy installation
+ Unchanged transfer speeds
+ Power switch
Cons:
- No IDE/SATA cables included
Red&Blackness gives it 4 out of 5 dots
