The Vizo Ares HDD enclosure came in a sturdy cardboard box displaying the product and many of its features. The front shows the enclosure a couple of highlight photos, and the back of the box has highlights of some of the key features and a list of the specifications.

Opening the box, the enclosure was well-protected in bubblewrap. Opening the box, you simply find the enclosure and a set of instructions in color.

The Ares HDD has an understated, plain black front panel/door with a silver handle. I was a little disappointed that there was no LCD screen displaying information such as temperature or capacity; many other higher-end enclosures provide that.

On the back of the enclosure you find a small fan and connections for the SATA data cable and a DC power cable. There is also a connection for a HDD access cable (included) and a master/slave switch.
