Visiontek ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro Videocard

Today we are taking a look at a videocard from Visiontek. I got a mail from them where they were offering us a sample of their latest ATI HD 2400 Pro card and of course being the nice guy I am I accepted the offer :). This card is from the new 2000 family of ATI cards and it is the slowest card of the new ones, but if offers one cool feture which is a HDMI port in the back of the card. This means that you can transmit to your TV with a HDMI cable. How well does the card perform then? Is it worth the 100$ it costs?

The card comes packed in a nice box which have pictures of computer screens on both sides of the box. On the back you also got some information about the card and on the front you will find a small Visiontek logo. I find it odd that Visiontek have not printed on a bigger logo to market their products more.

Inside the box you will find a manual, cd with drivers and software, and of course the videocard itself. The card is quite small compared to even a 8600GT card. It has a small heatsink and a small 40 mm fan to keep the card stable and cool.

The heatsink has a picture of a woman printed on it. On the fan a small ATI logo is printed on to market the ATI card. The heatsink/fan combo is mounted well with clips on the back of the card. They use all four mounting holes to hold the fan/heatsink in place.
