Vantec Nexstar NST-350U2 HD enclosure
A few weeks ago we looked at the Silverriver HD enclosure from Thermaltake which was a high quality product and worked very well.
Today we have Vantecs Nexstar HD enclosure on the test bench. These products have become very popular lately as they make plugging in one additional harddrive very easy.
They run through your USB port so you can plug it in whenever you want and also disconnect it if you decide to leave in a hurry for example.

The product was perfectly packed in the box with foam but the outside looks good also. It gives Vantec a professional look when they release a nice looking
box to the product. This doesn't mean that the product neccessarily is but that's what we are here to find out.

Included with the enclosure we have a foot so you can have it standing by the screen or wherever you prefer.
We have small bags with screws so you can close the top and bottom of the enlosure. The problem with this is that the screws are so tiny so
it will be hard for people with big hands to get the screws in. They have also included a screwdriver and a power cable to power it up with.
The USB cable that comes with it is around 1.5 meters long which is more than enough usually.

The enclosure is made out of Aluminum Alloy which is a very light and thin metal that will let the harddrive cool of more than a steel cover.
A cd with win98 drivers is also included but as always win Winxp all you have to do is plug it in and you are ready to go :)

On the side it's clearly marked where the cables are plugged in so everyone should be able to get this running.
On the right picture we can see the USB and power plugin along with the ON/OFF switch.
