Vantec Ion 400W power supply sent to us from Jacoltech
There are tons of power supplies out there but only a few that are really quiet and that are still able to perform well.
We have brands such as Vantec, Zalman, and Antec that are the best ones I have seen and today we are having a look at one of these brands. Vantec is on our testbench
and to be more exact it's the Ion 400W which seems to be a really nice product. It's has dual fans but is supposed to still be really very quiet.

As we can see this power supply is SATA ready. The box is really nice and the PSU was well protected in bubble wrap inside the box. On the back we find some specifications and features for this specific PSU.

Included in the kit was two SATA adapter, Zip ties, Screws, power cable and a manual. The power supply is normal sized but weighs a little more than the average PSU.

Check out the left picture really close and you can see that this PSU has some really nice specifications. The power supply is equipped with two fans which are really quiet. After turning the power supply on I had to put my ear close
to the fan to be able to hear it. I had problems hearing it since the harddrives were louder than this.

You decide how you want this power supply to work. With the red switch you can either put in on automatic, low, or high use.
Of course having it on high makes a little more noise but not hearable. Automatic runs after what the sensors on the PSU told it do to. If it's getting warm the fans run faster to cool it down.
We can also see that we can run this power supply in America and Europe. This power supply has 7 molex connectors, 2 floppy connnectors and the ATX and p4 ones ofcourse. The cables are long and will reach easily even in a
big tower case.
