Ultra X-Finity 800W Power Supply Review

The Ultra X-Finity 800W Power Supply arrived in a colorful box displaying the supply’s matte black exterior on the front and sides. The package also provides a list of features and some close-ups of the connectors.

Opening up the package, the power supply can be found nestled snugly surrounded by custom foam supports. As you can see, all of the power supply’s cables are hard-wired onto the supply instead of being modular. While I enjoy the convenience of modular cables, they typically add more resistance and thus decrease the efficiency of the supply. With this supply’s advertising 80% efficiency, I’m not surprised that these cables are wired permanently to the supply.
