The Ultra X2 Extreme Edition 750W Power Supply arrived in a colorful box displaying pictures of the supply on the front with a list of features and specifications. The package also has a large sticker reminding the buyer of Ultra’s lifetime warranty, which is always a nice feature to have.

Opening up the package, the first thing you find is another smaller box that houses the power supply’s modular cables and other accessories. Below that, the power supply can be found nestled snugly surrounded by custom foam supports. While I enjoy the convenience of modular cables, they typically add more resistance and thus decrease the efficiency of the supply. However, this power supply has a fairly decent efficiency rating of 72% efficiency; most hard-wired supplies are in the 70-80% range.
