Nowadays, its not uncommon to have multiple external components connected to your computer, since companies have made external versions of almost everything. As your desk gets cluttered with more peripherals and you run out of power outlets, you might be wondering if there is a product out there to simplify your setup. Ultra, well-known makers of a wide variety of technical products, has released a new product line, the Ultra Stackables, which may just do the trick. Will they work together or against each other? Lets find out in this review.

The Ultra Stackables arrived in sturdy, colorful packages with pictures of the various products on the front and back of the units, along with a list of features and specifications. As you can see, we received a total of 4 different Stackable products: the Stackable Power Center, the Stackable All-in-1 Card Reader + USB Hub, the Stackable 3.5 External IDE Hard Drive Enclosure, and the Stackable 3.5 External SATA Hard Drive Enclosure. Ultra also offers another Stackable product: a stand-alone USB hub without the card reader. Overall, these products represent the vast majority of external peripherals of this size; the only one that came to mind that might be missing is a 2.5 hard drive enclosure (for a laptop hard drive).

Starting with the Stackable Power Center, we find the product nestled snuggly inside a custom foam insert. This unit comes with simply the power supply/adapter, 6 power cables of varying lengths, and attachable mounting feet.
