The Thermaltake Sonic Tower cooler arrives in a see through plastic box as many other Thermaltake products I have layed my hands on. There's a black box at the bottom with all the necessery screws, nuts, brackets, installation guide, and so on in it. Features and specifications are printed on the red piece of paper. In the right picture you will for the first time see how huge this cooler is with your own eyes, it's a beast!

So what's included in the package? The Sonic Tower of course, two brackets & screws so you can mount a 120mm fan on the cooler, installation guide which goes over the installation over all the avaliable sockets today, all the necessery clips, screws, nuts, washers etc for the installation on the different sockets and some thermal grease.
My first impression when I grabbed the Sonic Tower to get it out from the package was like, WOW! This thing is friggin huge!

According to Thermaltake the Sonic Tower has 110 aluminum fins. I tried to count them but I lost somewhere in the middle where I was. :/ It's around 5cm higher than the Evercool HPC-925 we have tested, which I had problems to even get into my case becouse of the height. This is going to be a even bigger challenge, I think that I have to get some vaselin. ;)
The copper heatpipes is formed like an "U" and soldered to the copper base which is in contact with the processor, the 110 fins are then squeesed on 50/50 on the both sides. The aluminum fins have this wave looking form.

To the left we have the bottom and to the right we have the top of the cooler. You maybe can see that "Thermaltake", "Sonic Tower" and their logo is pressed on the aluminum fins and also you maybe can see the smaller holes at the top and the bottom. These are for the installation for the included fan holders so you can mount a 120mm fan. I don't understand though why Thermalright didn't send some screws with the cooler so you could screw on an optional fan that you have already at home.

To the left we are back to the copper base and what we have here is where the different clips are suppose to go, right in the middle of the "canal". The base on the cooler is smooth but it doesn't have a mirror finish. If someone knows why that "3" is there on the base, please e-mail me. :d
