Thermaltake SilverRiver 3´5 HDD enclosure
Have we not all wanted one of these at one time or another? It is an external HDD enclosure which you plug your harddrive into and run it through USB instead.
It's so nice not to have to worry about opening the case and fighting to plug the harddrive in and get the jumpers right.
This seems to be a very convenient solution since you just have to plug the harddrive into this enclosure and then connect the USB cable.
Then you start the computer and install some drivers if you don't run win98 and there you go... but is it really that easy?

As always Thermaltake products are very well packed and has a picture of the product on the front.
On the back we get further information about the product and the parts which are included.

Included with the enclosure itself they sent us a manual, one of those small cds with drivers, usb cable, and a power adapter with the cable.
I wish the product was powered by the USB port but that might not give out enough electricity though.

The enclosure itself has a very nice color and when you hold it in your hand you feel quality and not just ordinary crap as this has a steel covers.
On the side they have decided to put a Thermaltake logo which I don't think bothers me at all. As we can see there is also a foot you can put your enclosure on.
In the foot we have padding so you won't scratch the covers when pushing it down in the foot.

In the front we have the power button on the top and on the sides we find some air vents. On the sides we have nice rubber covers which covers the screws that hold the harddrive in the enclosure.
They also protect dust from getting into it.
