ThermalTake BlueOrb FX Cooler Review
With the new cpu´s you need better coolers, Thermaltake have been one of the big manufacturers on this market for quite some time now. Most manufacturers have made cpu coolers with LEDS these days but Thermaltake have taken it a step further with their newest BlueOrb FX cpu cooler. Their leds are mounted on the fan blades and they show temperature and rpm of the cooler. How does it perform vs some other great performers? That is what we are here to find out today.

This new cooler comes in a nice box with a picture of the cooler on the side, and otherwise the box goes in the colors black and red. On the back you can read about the features and specifications this specific cooler has.

Inside you will find the cooler with a blue heatsink with a clear colored 112mm fan in the heatsink. You also get a small box which contains all mounting pieces for the different socket types this cooler supports.
You can use this on either Am2 or S775 motherboards and the mounting pieces are nicely packed in their own small zip lock bags so you can easily figure out which one you need by taking a quick look at the small manual included.

The cooler reminds of the older SuperOrb design Thermaltake had in the beginning when the cooler market really started blooming. This design has followed along on most of their coolers and they have worked quite well so it will be interesting to see if this heatsink will perform as good with its metal fins. The fins are not bendable therefore they are perfectly spaced. As I said they have mounted special leds on some fan blades, later in the review I will show you them in action.

The bottom core of the heatsink is covered by a plastic cover to prevent dents or scratches on the sensitive core part. By preventing scratches you maximize the heat transfer between the CPU and heatsink.
